Spray oil on or remove the cap and let it drip in a stream. The spray works well if you apply pressure. Use virgin olive oil with sufficient density and the spray will work well. It does the job.
Having one bottle pour and spray great. Sprays about 1/4 tsp in 4 pumps. The design has a hole in the cap to drain drips back to the bottle and not the sides. It's not an atomizer so it's not an ultra-fine spray but coats food well with no need to pump and the ability to pour. Short quick bursts while moving the spray or tossing food works well for me. The item was well packaged in foam. The foam took a beating but did its job.

Excellent tool, the shaded container is made of glass! The functionality is satisfactory. However, the plastic handle part seems very fragile and bends; I tried wrapping some wire around it. I hope it lasts over time.
